Good stuff. When your using your O.D. mics ive found its best to twist the outermost "ratchet" "thimble" part thats black. That way you can just twist it until it stops moving the rest of the handle and you know your there. Where you have your fingers will sometimes allow it to over tighten and/or slide off-center of what you are measuring. This will give you incorrect readings(too small of a reading). Ive been a machinist for 13 years and thats just my .02 If your mics dont "click" while turning the black part of the handle and are "locked" to the rest of the handle then please disregard.
